Aaron Prelock - Children's Ministries Intern and Worship Leader for The Gathering

Aaron has been a member of Faith since 1993.  He loves teaching children and wants to instill in the next generation a committment to serving God through obedience to His Word.  Aaron currently attends Faith Bible Seminary and serves as a pastoral intern at Faith.  He enjoys music, motorcyles, and time with his family.  You can contact Aaron at aprelock@fbclafayette.org

Mike & Cheri Streitmatter - Kids of Faith Coordinator

Mike and Cheri have been members of Faith since 1997 and assumed their current position as Kids of Faith Coordinators in 2007.  They have a passion for sharing God's Word with children and encouraging them to live by its principles.  Mike and Cheri has taught 5th Grade Sunday School since 1997.  Mike currently serves as a deacon and as a member of the Christian Education committee.  Together, Mike and Cheri have a grain and livestock operation in Jasper County.  They have been blessed with six children and enjoy the opportunity of homeschooling them.  Mike and Cheri are actively involved with 4-H in their community.  You can contact them at mlstreit@urhere.net

Lana Smith - Director of Kindergarten Department

Lana has been a member of Faith since 1978.  She and her husband Paul began serving in Children's Ministries shortly after becoming members. They also taught Children's Church before moving onto other teaching ministries at Faith.  Lana began teaching Kindergarten Sunday School in 1987. She enjoys teaching the truths from God’s Word and helping young children grasp the Word of God and apply it to their lives.  For Lana, teaching is more than just telling a Bible story.  Teaching involves assisting parents in the discipleship of their children.  Lana has a degree in elementary education from Purdue University and currently teaches English in the Junior High at Faith Christian School.  Lana and her husband Paul have been married for thirty years.  They have two children and two grandchildren.  Besides enjoying every minute of being a grandmother, Lana likes to read and browse antique stores in her spare time.  You can contact Lana at lsmith@fcslafayette.org
