Keyboarding:  The goal for Keyboarding is for each student to acquire the skill of typing with speed and accuracy that can be used to glorify our Lord and honor His name.  The first semester utilizes the program Typing Master, which is necessary for the acquisition of typing skills.  Second semester shifts the focus from learning the keypad to its mastery.  Various documents will be typed to increase speed and improve accuracy skills.  Second semester also brings the introduction of proofreading skills, which are designed to bring a heightened awareness of accuracy skills involved in typing.

Computer Applications:  The goal for Computer Applications is for each student to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, EXCEL, and Power Point so that this knowledge can be used to glorify the Lord.  Each discipline of the Microsoft program is given 9 weeks of attention.  The final grading period of the year is spent in review and polishing of the respected programs.  Periodically time will be spent in review of Typing to maintain the skills acquired in the Keyboarding class.

 Typing 10:  The goals for this class is three-fold.  The first goal is for each student to honor and glorify the Lord with the use of typing skills.  Secondly, we begin each year in review of mastering typing skills that may have been lost.  The speed goal for this class is 50wpm with a minimum accuracy of 95%.  Lastly we will build on the Microsoft skills that were learned in the 8th grade to have an even greater understanding of Word, EXCEL, and Power Point.
