Application Timeline

Step One - Call the Vision of Hope office to get information about the Vision of Hope residential treatment center.  The staff will ask some preliminary questions to help determine whether the Vision of Hope program is best for you or whether another facility may better meet your needs.

Step Two - Complete the application packet and either mail or fax it back into the Vision of Hope office.  Residential applications are reviewed on Wednesdays at 12:30 pm during staff meeting.  In order to review an application on Wednesday during staff meeting it must be received in our office by Tuesday at 5 pm.  Potential applicants may call on Thursdays beginning at 9 AM Eastern Time to inquire about their applications.  If staff has approved their application to proceed to the next step, a potential resident may schedule an interview appointment.  Interviews are usually scheduled one or two weeks out.  In rare cases if the applicant has a verifiable, time-sensitive need to have an interview moved up, staff may consider that.

Step Three - Interviews for residency normally take place on Fridays at 11 AM Eastern.  Staff expects all interviews to be in person unless the applicant lives more than three hours away.  During the interview, staff will ask the potential resident questions about various aspects of her current status to determine if Vision of Hope is the best program to meet her needs.  If, through the course of the interview, staff determines that Vision of Hope would adequately meet her needs, staff will invite the applicant to proceed to the next step.  An application packet part two will be handed to the applicant, and she will be expected to complete it as soon as possible. No move-in dates can be issued until application packet part two is returned and reviewed.

Step Four - Staff will meet on Mondays to review completed application and interview material and to make final decisions about individual applicants.  If staff determines that an individual is a good fit for our program an invitation to move in will be emailed, faxed, or mailed to the applicant with a move-in date listed.  The "invitation to move in packet" will contain information for the applicant and her family, a supplies list of what to bring / not bring, as well as visitation information.  Staff expects the supplies list to be followed exactly.  There are several items listed that are absolutely mandatory.  Staff will not accept individuals who are not adequately prepared when they report for move in.  If an applicant is having financial difficulty or difficulty obtaining the required items, please feel free to communicate that to staff, and they will refer you to several different means of getting help to meet your needs.

Step Five - Wednesdays are always move-in days, without exception.  New residents are expected to arrive at Vision of Hope at 8 am to sign intake documentation and check their belongings in.

Staff NEVER rushes applications.  Please do not ask.  Staff believes that the application process is a very valuable tool in helping them to determine which young ladies applying are actually the best candidates and capable of completing the very difficult Vision of Hope program.
